Fox celebrates first UAE fighter pilot - calling her 'boobs on the ground'
Fox News gets a bad rep, but sometimes one really does wonder why they say the things they say.
Case in point: on Wednesday's 'The Five', the channel aired a segment celebrating Major Mariam Al Mansouri, the United Arab Emirate's first female fighter pilot – nicknamed 'lady liberty' – who led strikes on Islamic State strongholds in Syria this week.
After the female anchor, Kimberly Guilfoyle, gave an impassioned speech on the importance of the news, two of her male co-anchors decided to chip in.
"After she bombed it, she couldn't park it," one said, chuckling.
"Would that be considered boobs on the ground, or no?" another offered, punning off the military phrase "boots on the ground".
A clearly frustrated Guilfoyle had only a brow-rub and the words "why did you ruin my thing?"
Why indeed.
