Terrifying photo shows actress hiding on roof from home invader

It's like a scene from a horror movie.

This is the terrifying moment an actress was forced to hide on her roof from a home invader.

Melora Rivera - who lives in Los Angeles - was at home in bed when she heard the intruder.

While she managed to climb out onto the roof with her phone, the man then followed her - leaving her cowering in front of a window while she called police.

Melora - who had a small role in the movie 'Sparkle' - told CBS LA that her main focus was to avoid a confrontation with the man.

'Once I saw him in the house, I knew that we both couldn’t be there.

"I knew that I didn’t want to have a confrontation with him of any sort, you know, not knowing what his intention was,' she said.

The nightmare-ish photo was taken by an area blogger just as the police arrived and surrounded the house.

Melara was then able to climb down and the intruder - a homeless man named Christian Hicks - was arrested.
