The Giant Granny takes to the streets of Limerick

A giant Granny has taken to the streets of Limerick this morning.

There's also a bus full full of spuds driving around. We're not exactly sure why.

The seven-and-a-half metre grandmother plans to travel 19km around Limerick City and it is expected up to 200,000 people will turn out to see her beteen now and Sunday.

The spectacle is being staged by the world-renowned Royal de Luxe Street theatre company from France as part of the Limerick's City of Culture celebrations.

Like most grannies, we love her but we're also a bit afraid of her.
