Mickey Mouse and Spongebob got into a bizarre road rage brawl in Russia

Well, this is weird...

Over in Russia, a dashcam caught what has to be the weirdest road rage incident ever.

After a car in front of a minivan stops abruptly, the passengers get out to confront the driver. Only the minivan occupants are all dressed as kids' TV characters.

Mickey Mouse, Scrat the Squirrel (from Ice Age) and Spongebob SquarePants then proceed to pummel the driver of the car, knocking him to the ground - much to the amusement of the guys in the car with the camera.

The dressed-up characters then get back in the van and drive away - leaving the man to get up, a little worse for wear but seemingly ok.

There is speculation that it was all staged but if it's not, it begs the question - what the hell is going on?
