Frankly, we're surprised that the ice didn't melt in sheer fear.

Ireland and Aston Villa assistant manager Roy Keane takes on the Ice Bucket Challenge.

The Cork man took a break from his work at what looks like Villa's training facility to take a good soaking in aid of charity, after being nominated by his AVFC colleague Lisa Draper (who posted the below clip to Instagram).

Letting an enigmatic smile play across his face before the icy waters descended, Roy laughed as he received a proper soaking, shaking his head as he stood up.

He nominated Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill to be next up.
