Motor Neurone sufferer David McClain takes on the Ice Bucket Challenge

David McClain has had ALS (Motor Neurone Disease) for the last 12 years and is paralysed from the shoulders down.

The Ice Bucket Challenge craze shows no sign of abating but it's easy to forget what the original aim of the challenge was - to raise money and awareness for ALS (also known as Motor Neurone Disease).

We've had loads of celebrities complete it, we've had Dáithí do it and there is already a fails compilation and while it's great that they're promoting the cause, this video really drives home the importance of the cause.
