As expected, last night's Rose of Tralee was packed with bits that left everyone laughing, rollling their eyes and shaking their heads in general disbelief.

Here are the top 5 WTF moments from the first night of the 2014 Rose of Tralee. And we haven't even included Dáithí's Ice Bucket Challenge.

1. "Buttering the toast" - Dáithí gets an education in ice hockey

2. The Scottish rose stuffing FOUR teacakes into her mouth live on air. Very unbecoming behaviour for a Rose - she almost got sick.

3. This escort donning a gold chain and sparkly pink cap to rap to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air (complete wih off-beat clapping from the Roses). It's possibly the most awkward thing we've EVER seen

4. The Sydney Rose's mother giving the dog an old kick
