The cast of Downton Abbey had the BEST response to WaterBottle-Gate

They even managed to turn it into a charity fundraiser for Water Aid.

The cast of Downton Abbey have responded in the best possible way to the widely publicised press photo containing a slightly out-of-place water bottle,

ITV posted this photo of the entire cast (in their civilian clothes) all holding plastic water bottles and looking adorably sheepish. They also announced that they would be raising money for Water Aid, a charity that aims to provide safe, clean drinking water to the world.

"The cast and crew came up with the idea of turning some of this attention towards an issue around water that really matters," a statement from ITV said.

"They hope that by posing for this picture they will be able to raise awareness and amplify the work of international charity WaterAid."

Now that's the kind of classy behaviour we'd expect from them. Well played.
