The cast of the Broadway production of Aladdin honoured the late Robin Williams by dedicating a performance of 'Friend Like Me' to his memory.

After Tuesday night's performance, the current Genie, James Monroe Iglehart, led the audience in a rousing rendition of the song made famous by Williams in the 1992 Disney film.

Lyrics had been distributed earlier in the night so the crowd could sing along and it's a lovely moment.

The lights on Broadway were dimmed on Wednesday night for one minute in honour of the beloved comedian and actor who performed there several times.
