Gardaí forced to deal with a rather salty customer

This guy had a chip on his shoulder!

Our friends over @GardaTraffic came across an unusual scene as they were doing their rounds early this morning.

While monitoring traffic on the M50 motorway they spotted a car stopped in the hard shoulder.

It is illegal to stop in the hard shouler unless you've broken down or it is an emergency.

When they went to investigate the driver they found him munching on a big bag of chips!

The Gardaí then tweeted a picture to remind road users what the use of the hard shoulder on the motorway is for.

Of course Twitter was its usual self after the tweet appeared and those funny guys @GardaTraffic took it all in their stride.
