Man has lucky escape as fake charger cooks iPhone

This is scary!

If you have ever bought a cheaper version of a smartphone charger this video may make you think again.

We have all left our phone at home to charge while we go out, but YouTuber Josh Galea luckily was at home when he noticed a burning smell coming from his bedroom.

Having bought a cheaper version of an iPhone charger earlier he left his phone to charge and when he went to investigate the smell he found his phone destroyed as well as a smouldering pillow.

The cable of the charger was also charred and Galea was fortunate the whole house didn’t go up in flames.

Galea decided to upload the video to YouTube to highlight the danger of buying cheap, unlicensed charges.
