German timepiece maestros Nomos Glasshuette - who specialise in traditional mechanical watches - have become surprise internet stars after a clever video of their craftsmen in action went viral.

The video, entitled 'Look over the watchmaker's shoulders' is a mesmerising glimpse into an almost-lost art, the precision of which is mind-boggling.

We guarantee that you'll watch to the end, not only for the visual treats in store but also for the hypnotic Kraftwerk-esque soundtrack of mechanised clicks and whirrs.

Founded in 1990 (yep, we're surprised too) Nomas Glashuette is based in the Saxon town of Glashuette, where it makes all its timepieces in-house.

They are pricey (not that pricey though, considering) but after watching that, we want one.
