Beautiful sea turtle says ‘thank you’ to hero diver

What a beautiful moment!

Cameron Dietrich and Colin Sutton were spearfishing off the coast of Mexico recently when they came across a distressing sight.

Dietrich and Sutton noticed a gorgeous sea turtle had become tangled in a rope used by local fishermen.

According to The World Wildlife Fund human fishing gear is the single greatest threat to sea turtles worldwide.

There was no hesitation from Cameron and Colin, who threw on their dive gear and quickly freed our helpless friend.

It seemed the turtle would just swim away after its ordeal, however it turned back towards Dietrich and let him hold it as if to say “thank you for saving me”.

Sutton caught the magic moment on film and we are very glad he did!
