Most intense ‘question’ in the history of Question Time

Okay, it’s not really a question.

During a debate on the upcoming Scottish independence referendum host David Dimbleby gave a man from Inverness the floor after he raised his hand.

Little did Dimbleby know the programme was going to witness a William Wallace (in reverse) style battle cry.

The Scot told of his family’s involvement in the British army as he launched into a pro-union tirade.

"I was born in Inverness, I’m a passionate Highlander, and I love Scotland. I will take a stand to keep the United Kingdom together. I will give my life for my country as my grandfather did in the First World War," said the man.

He really loves the United Kingdom.

The referendum on Scottish independence takes place on Thursday 18 September.
