They had chosen this particular restauraunt for a very special reason. Redditor Coppin-it-washin-it who uploaded the picture of the bill explained why:

"For every one of their anniversaries, my dad took my mom to Red Lobster, as it was her favorite restaurant. He passed away in March from cancer, and today, on what would be their anniversary, my sister took mom to keep the tradition alive. They found this in place of their bill."

The story went viral overnight as people responded to the simple act of kindness.

And it seems Taylor heard about the fuss and commented on the original Reddit post, saying that it was unnecessary.

"I am Taylor from Red Lobster. I want you to know, personally, that it was a wonderful experience to serve your mother, sister, and niece. I am sorry to hear of your father's passing and I am glad that I could make your mother's day. It was not necessary to recognize my service, it was the least I could do, but I appreciate your support. I hope to see you and your family soon in the restaurant. Feel free to ask for me, I would love to meet you as well."
