Extreme wedding pictures that will blow you away … literally

A bride and groom in Canada captured wedding photos they will be telling stories about for years to come.

Professional photographer Colleen Niska was out with the unnamed happy couple when she spotted a tornado starting to form.

The quick thinking snapper sprang into action and took shots that have us in total awe today.

The couple, from Saskatchewan, Canada, along with Colleen had never seen a tornado before and couldn’t miss the opportunity to have their special day made unforgettable.

Colleen told Buzzfeed how the pictures come about: “We went out to take pictures, just me and the bride and groom, and happened to spot the funnel cloud close by.

“We were a long ways from it, so we weren’t frightened or anything and it wasn’t heading in our direction. We were pretty excited as none of us had witnessed a tornado before and thought it was a pretty cool opportunity. I wasn’t going to pass on it!,” said Niska.

The photos taken last weekend came as two tornados hit the province of Saskatchewan, near the towns of Kenaston and Outlook respectively.

Luckily, there were no deaths reported from the twisters and only a couple of buildings were destroyed.

This follows what seems to be a new trend of wedding pictures taken in extreme situations.

Check out this shot last month as Michael Wolber and April Hartley married with Oregon wildfires raging in the background.

We just hope this isn’t a whirlwind romance for our tornado couple … yes, we did go there!
