Watch as 1000 people eat 1000 ghost chillis in Copenhagen

There are A LOT of tears.

This doen't look like fun AT ALL.

But we're glad it happened because it is entertaining to watch.

1000 people gathered in a square in Copenhagen for one purpose - to simultaneously eat the hottest chilli pepper in the world.

And judging by their faces, some people immediately regretted participating.

The video was filmed as part of a promotion for a book written by Danish entertainer, Chili Klaus. He's mostly known for his YouTube videos in which he eats chilli peppers with Scandanavian celebrities.

What an excellent idea.

Anyway, according to the Guinness Book of Records, ghost chillis are the hottest chilli pepper in the world - 401 times hotter than Tabasco sauce.

Which explains the manly tears.
