Who knew the funny man was so wise?

If we're being honest, we wouldn't peg Jim Carrey as an obvious choice for words of wisdom but he really pulled it off with this inspiring (and funny) commencement adddress

In an emotional speech at Maharishi University in Iowa last month, the actor dropped his goofy persona to give some solid, real-world advice.

Jim spoke of how his father inspired him to take a chance on doing what he loved and advised the students not to 'play it safe'.
