Cowell 'frustrated' by lack of talent on BGT
Simon Cowell is disappointed with the lack of talent on 'Britain's Got Talent' this year.
The 54-year-old music mogul has admitted he wasn't too impressed with this year's auditions and was left "frustrated" with some of the "bad acts".
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I know the viewers have been saying the talent this year wasn't as good and I would agree.
"The acts were not so good. I was moody for a reason. I get frustrated.
"I am trying to judge things that aren't good and I get grumpy on the bad acts. When we chose the semi-finalists there were a few that I thought, 'You are a waste of my time.'
"As with all talent shows you have got to get better talent in every year."
The outspoken judge says he is pleased with the high calibre of talent in tomorrow night's final however and thinks his Golden Buzzer act, Bars and Melody, could win the latest series of 'BGT'.
He added: "We are lucky in that all the finalists are good. I genuinely think that, having gone through their songs, the favourites to win are Bars and Melody and Collabro."
The bookies seem to agree.
Aoife Heffron, PR executive at Boylesports, commented “The singing acts are most certainly dominating the betting but it is Bars and Melody who have the public behind them ahead of the final as they remain favourites to win at 6/5.
“Collabro seem to be the only other main contender for the title with support coming in strong following their semi-final win but has since faded slightly and they are now 2/1 from 7/4.”
