Bride hits back at criticism after tying her baby to the back of her wedding dress

This bride really wanted her newborn daughter to be part of her wedding ceremony. So she did what anyone else would do - she attached little Aubrey to the train of her wedding dress and basically dragged her up the aisle.

Shona Carter-Brooks from Tennessee defended her unusual choice in a Facebook post saying that Aubrey was "awake and well-secured" as well as being "covered by Christ".

The dress which Shona says is by Vera Wang (although the company deny that it is from any of their collections) had been altered to secure the 1-month-old.

There has been quite the backlash after photos were posted online, with some saying the couple should be reported to child protection services.

Carter-Brooks responded by saying people always "have something negative to say".

"The answer is we do what we want when we want long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine".

Some commenters on Facebook quite liked the idea with Brittany Alexandria posting that she'd never seen anything like it.

"Congratulations to the both of you though. I saw the pics and everything was beautiful and I loved the idea of your baby on your dress that was something new that no one would have thought of."

New wedding trend, anyone?
