Walliams' Boy in the Dress commissioned for BBC treatment
Another David Walliams' children's books has been commissioned for TV.
Following the success of Mr Stink and Gangsta Granny, Walliams' Boy in the Dress is due to be screened by the BBC this Christmas.
It is all about a 12-year-old boy who enjoys cross-dressing and how his family and friends react.
It was the first book the comedian ever wrote and was published in 2008.
The book description from Walliams' site reads: "Dennis lives in a boring house in a boring street in a boring town. But he’s about to find out that when you open your mind, life becomes anything but boring…"
Walliams reads chapter one here.
