Darth Vader seizes Odessa with army of stormtroopers

The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of internet videos.

About a month ago, Darth Vader appeared as a candidate in the Ukrainian elections, much to the amusement of the world's media.

With promises that "I alone can make an empire out of a republic, to restore former glory," Vader became wildly popular before he was told he cannot, in fact, be Emperor President because his "real identity" could not be verified.

That hasn't stopped the Ukrainian Internet Party, who chose Vader as leader, from staging impressive demonstrations in their home town of Odessa - as they recently sent hundreds of stormtroopers into the streets to showcase the Empire's strength.

Vader is now running for the mayoral elections in Kiev on May 25, and the party have released a video in which Vader and his troops express their love of the city's glorious monuments. They even got Chewbacca in on the act, somehow.
