Ballybunion beach proposal caught on camera by passerby

Romance is alive and well in North Kerry, it seems.

Local man Adam Pierse took this snap of a man waiting nervously on Ballybunion beach before his sunset proposal to his girlfriend.

Adam was dying to find out if she had said yes so he got in contact with Radio Kerry to see if anyone knew the couple. They were quickly identified as Shane Falvey and Gráinne Lyons, a local primary school teacher.

And she said..... Yes!
