Stranger performs wonderful act of kindness for grieving mother
This really brings a tear to the eye.
All seemed fine during most of Valarie Watt's pregnancy until the week before her son Noah was born last July.
Tragically her umbilical cord had become pinched in the womb and Noah was stillborn. At first Valarie, of Cokato Minnesota, was reluctant to let go of Noah’s crib but decided to have a yard sale of some of the baby clothes intended for him.
Then she met Gerald Kumpula, who spotted the crib while looking at other items at the sale.
“She was kind of hesitant. I knew that maybe she didn't want to sell it, but yet, she did,” said Gerald.
As Gerald loaded up the crib his wife curiously asked Valerie about her son and it was then Valerie told her what had happened to Noah.
What Valerie didn’t know was that Mr Kumpula was an outstanding craftsman and he along with his wife had decided to do something remarkable for the young mother.
A week later the Kumpula’s returned to visit Valerie with an astounding gift, they had turned the crib into a beautiful memorial bench for little Noah.
“I started crying instantly. It's amazing, and there's good people out there,” said Valerie.
