Mean Girls was released 10 years ago today
Are you wearing pink? Because on Wednesdays, we wear pink.
So decreed Regina George, the meanest of all the Mean Girls. And you better not cross Regina.
The 2004 cult comedy turns 10 today and it’s a Wednesday. Coincidence? Probably. But it's still a chance to celebrate one of the most quotable movies EVER.
Seriously, in any situation in life, there’s a Mean Girls quote that applies.
So what have Regina and the others taught us?
1. Tearing other people down does not make you feel better about yourself
2. Sex will kill you?
3. Geography can be pretty confusing
4. Some people have very special talents.
5. And never trust anyone with big hair.
Not only does it feature a fresh-faced Lindsay Lohan, Mean Girls also introduced us to the awesome Tina Fey. As well as writing the screenplay, Fey also played the small but memorable role of the teacher (she's not a drug pusher, ok?) who has the unenviable task of trying to make peace between the girls.
If you haven’t seen it, stop whatever you’re doing and go watch it. Now! And if you’ve seen it a hundred times, go watch it again.
Because even though it’s been around for a decade, Mean Girls never gets old.
