Kanye, Pharrell to play Marlay Park double header

Kanye West and Pharrell Williams will play a double-headliner gig at Dublin's Marlay Park on July 2, promoters MCD accounced this morning.

Tickets for what will be one of the gigs of the summer are €59.50 and go on sale at 9am on Friday, April 11.

For Kanye - a 21-time Grammy winner who has sold over 21 million albums - it will be the first trip back to Ireland since since his Watch The Throne tour dates with Jay Z in 2012, the highest grossing tour in hip-hop history.

His eighth studio album, 'YEEZUS' was the sixth consecutive US #1 album of Kanye’s career.

Meanwhile N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell is a legendary producer and singer in high demand right now following the runaway success of his collaborations with Daft Punk, while his single 'Happy' is a worldwide phenomenon with 166m YouTube views and countless video tributes.

'Happy' has topped the charts in more than 175 countries, selling more than 2.3 million downloads worldwide.

Earlier this year Pharrell took home four Grammy awards, including Producer of the Year, Album of the Year for Daft Punk’s 'Random Access Memories', and Record of the Year as well as Best Pop Duo/Performance for 'Get Lucky'.
