Russell Crowe reveals his true colours - he's a Munster man

No stranger to the concept of Stand Up and Fight, it turns out Russell's blood runs Munster red.

Russell Crowe reveals his true colours - he's a Munster man

Which province is Russell Crowe supporting at the weekend? Leinster, Ulster or Munster? Russell is very clear who he supports!

Having been in the headlines for most of the week thanks to his response to THAT interview, Crowe also had to deny on Twitter rumours he thought Ireland was part of the UK.

All three provinces are in action this weekend in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals with Munster facing Toulouse and Ulster taking on Saracens on Saturday, while the men of Leinster travel to Toulon on Sunday.

Crowe is known for his love of the oval ball, all be it rugby league (the 13-a-side version where you are allowed 6 tackles before the ball is handed over to the opposition, yes we know what it is!), was offered the chance to see a Leinster game by a fan on Twitter.

The fan didn’t get the response he expected however when Russell emphatically proclaimed his love for Munster.

Anyone with a spare ticket for the match on Saturday for Russell? Or me for that matter?

Leinster’s Jamie Heaslip wasn’t all that happy with Crowe’s support for Munster though!

We are pretty sure Jamie is joking!

UPDATE: Ross O’Donoghue informs us on Twitter that Russell’s love for all things Munster goes way back to his 2000 film ‘Proof of Life’ in which he sported the tie of Young Munster.

Here is the proof.

It’s the club Paul O’Connell comes from, good choice Russell!
