Russell Crowe had the craic in Dublin at the weekend

Russell Crowe had a bit of a busy weekend promoting his new film Noah.

The New Zealand star took in three cities on Saturday alone, landing in Dublin for the Irish premiere of the Darren Aronofsky-directed biblical epic before hot-footing it to Edinburgh and Cardiff.

He was pretty stoked about the trip. Or about the refreshments, at least:

Tomorrow, Dublin,Edinburgh,Cardiff #Noah...red carpets and all...will have a Guinness in Dublin, a single malt in Edinburgh, in Cardiff....?

However, as the rain poured down on the crowds outside the Savoy on Saturday afternoon, Mr Crowe was nowhere to be seen.

Good man Russell, and what a great story for the lads in the iconic Kehoes boozery on South Anne St.

Anyway, Russell made it to O'Connell St without incident.

And the rain was still falling, which was pretty apt.

Russell was all smiles for the crowd - and a perfect gent, by all accounts.

Although this reporter might perhaps beg to differ. Totes awks.

He was joined by his friend Ronan Keating - the two are buddies since Ronan worked on 'Australia's Got Talent' and Ronan's girlfriend Storm Uechtritz.

Once the whole thing was over, Russell was on his way to the UK.

By way of Fagan's in Drumcondra, for a sneaky last one before the flight.
