Whelan may give way on Winning Streak to 'younger' Morrisey
Veteran broadcaster and Winning Streak presenter is rumoured to be on the way out, to be replaced by sports presenter Marty Morrissey.
Today's Irish Mirror reports that Whelan will step aside in favour of sports broadcaster Morrissey, "as TV bosses look to draw in a younger crowd".
Whelan is 57; Morrissey is 53.

Marty Morrissey is a specialist sports commentator in Gaelic games and boxing, as well as commenting on the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics.
He's well-known for his lively presenting style and casual language and colloquialisms.

RTÉ have yet to officially confirm or deny the reports, but bookmaker Paddy Power have placed Morrissey as their favourite to be the Winning Streak host in September, with odds of 10/11.
Whelan, meanwhile, recently admitted to having a hair transplant to "look as best as you can" because of the pressure from his career.
However, being an Irish institution, Whelan's not without his supporters, devestated at the news.
Marty Whelan has been axed from Winning Streak? What is WRONG with the world?

Marty Whelan got his hair done to look younger and RTE bring in Marty Morrisey who has seen a bottle or 2 of dye for the yoof viewers
