Toronto mayor Rob Ford narrates his own embarrassing videos
Toronto's controversial mayor Rob Ford appeared on American talk show host's Jimmy Kimmel last night. Yes, the show known for taking a swing at pop culture and celebrity. Someone thought that was a good idea.
"What good could possibly come of this?" Kimmell said to start.
Easily the best part is when Kimmel presents a collection of the best-of Rob Ford internet videos, ranging from the angry rants to singing reggae in a fast-food restaurant, and asks the mayor for a kind of developer's commentary.
A developer's commentary.
:
"Everyone's a customer, you all pay taxes," Toronto's mayor said to the American to start. Then, Kimmel read out the nasty comments from his internet fans to Ford, about his drug abuse, alleged crimes and homophobia.
"Do you think if you had more gay friends, you would not wear that tie?" Kimmel asks.
Then it gets even better when he compares the LA Mayor's press photographs to Rob Ford. Which makes him sweat. A lot. So much that Jimmy dabs him dry. .
"Mayor Rob Ford, tell us about your workout routine: does it exist?"
About 1:30 in to part three, Kimmel plays some of the famous Rob Ford YouTube videos and asks the mayor to explain them. So, so cringeworthy.
Finally, Kimmel allows Ford to talk about his re-election campaign, before concluding that "you are the most wonderful mayor I've ever witnessed."
