Republic of Telly gets in on the gay marriage debate

"If you allow a man to marry a man, what's stopping a man from marrying a dog?"

So begins Felix Bollard's hilarious take on the gay marriage debate in this YouTube clip, released by RTE today to publicise the new series of their comedy show Republic of Telly.

"I wouldn't have a problem with a gay man marrying a gay woman."

A pause while the wheels turn inside his head.

"As long as they didn't have kids, cause then they'd make them gay."

We then hear about the "gayest" thing he's done, his visit to a gay bar (which lead to a court case that was thrown out immediately), and his work to highlight the awareness of anti-homophobia.

A bit of hero-worship going on at Mr Bollard's 'Family Institute' office.

You can see all four minutes and 19 seconds of the clip below, but be warned, it's NSFW.
