Pictures: Love is in the air, and on the seas, and in the zoos…

It's Valentine's Day, and our image wires are chock-full of adorable photos involving hearts, flowers, and all the rest. Featuring animals, warships and Thai weddings, here's some of the more interesting ones for the day that's in it.
Newlywed couples in Malaysia release balloons on a pretty special day - Valentine's Day and Chinese Valentine's Day fell on the same day this year.

The 'Chinese Valentine's Day' is the Qixi festival, which falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the Chinese Calendar. As you can imagine, it's rare they fall together.
This next one is rather cute: deployed British troops send a message home for Valentine's Day...

… although they do happen to be using a Royal Navy Destroyer to say it. This beast is a guided missile warship, with buckets of missiles and Harpoon launchers, not to mention the helicopters.

Pffft. And some people say it with flowers.
Meanwhile, for you bleeding-heart animal lovers:

— Dudley and Saskia, African lions in Scotland's Blair Drummond Safari Park, enjoy a heart-shaped treat made of frozen horse blood. (Bleeding heart. Geddit?)
In Thailand, they have of fun at weddings:

This is called the Runway of Love, where, apparently, couples run away from a giant ball decorated with flowers. This couple – Wichan Vina, 32, and his bride Wilailuk Roongros, 31 – took a tumble on the way.
And lastly, this murmuration of starlings was seen flocking in tight formation in Israel earlier this week, and the photographer managed to snap the perfect moment they formed a heart shape.

See that lone dot off to the left on his own? We can relate.
