Flappy Bird creator to withdraw game tomorrow
The creator of hit mobile game Flappy Bird has said he will remove it from the Android and iOS app stores tomorrow.
The app has been downloaded some 50 million times.
The announcement came in a short series of tweets, apparently from Dong Nguyen, saying he is sorry but he "cannot take this anymore" and "just cannot keep it anymore". He says there are no legal issues forcing him to take down the game, and says it is not for sale.
He says people are "overusing" the game and he wants "peace", adding the game's success is ruining his "simple life".
I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore.
