Incredible footage of boy and gran mown down by car - and getting back up

Sometimes, there are online videos so spectacular you think they just can't be true.

This is one of them.

Brazilian TV stations broadcast this security camera footage of 56-year-old Vilma Nascimento and her five-year-old grandson, Joao, both being run over by a vehicle following a high-speed collision.

Yes – that is disturbing to watch. But then, the young boy stands straight up and runs over to check on his grandmother.

If you watch closely, you can see Vilma attempt to put herself between the young boy and the car – but the wheels appear to run over his head despite her efforts. The incredible news footage led many reporters and commenters to mention divine intervention.

But whether you're the religious type or not, the word 'miraculous' is a pretty good fit here - especially since they were both released from hospital within a day with minor injuries.
