Blanchett and McConaughey win big at Critics' Choice Awards
Cate Blanchett was named Best Actress at the Critics' Choice Awards last night.
The 'Blue Jasmine' star, who is still in shock after her Golden Globe win and Oscar nomination for her role in the film, was among the stars to take home awards at the ceremony at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

She said of her win: "This is so great. What a great day. I just want to thank first and foremost Woody Allen. I am just the lucky girl that he happened to call for this."
'12 Years a Slave' actress Lupita Nyong'o received a standing ovation when she took home the gong for Best Supporting Actress and admitted she was a "little terrified", adding: "I'm so honoured to be here and I just want to thank the BFCA [Broadcast Film Critics Association] for this incredible honour.”

She said: "I'd like to dedicate this to my uncle who came to see me in every play and said, 'You're good. But let's see what Hollywood thinks of you'. He didn't live to see this day but I'm sure he's proud of me.'
'12 Years A Slave' also won the biggest prize of the night for Best Picture, while the Best Actor award went to Matthew McConaughey for portraying an AIDS victim in 'Dallas Buyers Club'.
He said: "Yeah! Alright, alright, alright! Thank you, this is fun", before paying tribute to his character by saying: "Thank you Ron Woodroof, for living a life that was damn well worth putting on the big screen."

His co-star Jared Leto picked up Best Supporting Actor, echoing the night at the Golden Globes.
Leto said: "I'd like to dedicate this incredible honour to all the people around the world who are living with HIV, all the people that have lost their lives to this horrific disease.
"To them I thank you, it's incredible to receive this honour.'
He added: 'Matthew most of all, I've got to do it baby. Alright, alright, alright, alright! I love you, thank you for bringing me out of retirement and giving me a chance."
