Pic of the day: Lego apple pierced by Lego bullet

This is cool.

A Lego sculpture of an apple being pierced by a bullet - in the style of this iconic 1987 photograph by Doc Edgarton - is attracting lots of online comment today after being posted to Reddit.

As it turns out, the picture's not new - it was first posted online in 2010 by its builder Tom Simon, who said he tried to 'capture the essence' of the Edgarton original.

It also features in a book called 'Beautiful Lego' which is the ideal pressie for anyone seriously into their little Danish blocks.
