Fans may be given chance to walk down Coronation Street

Coronation Street may be opened up to the public for six months next year.

Bosses of the soap are considering plans to let fans walk down the cobbles when filming switches to a brand new site.

The famous street used to be open to the public before filming commitments became too great.
