'It's an act of courage to say - I need help'
He put his body on the line dozens of times on the hurling pitch – but opening up about his battle with depression is one of the bravest things Conor Cusack has ever done.
After his heartfelt and candid blog post got such a huge response, last night the country saw former Cork hurling star Conor Cusack talking about his battle with depression in person.
In a heartfelt and inspiring interview with Miriam O'Callaghan, Cusack talked about how close he came to taking his own life, and made a personal plea to anyone going through the same torment.
Tributes continue to pour in from around the country for Cusack’s bravery, eloquence and honesty.
I think every person should take the time to read this, excellent inspirational piece @Conor14Cusackhttp://t.co/zHNGIlhNuE
