It's all part of Today FM's Shave or Dye campaign, to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society – and the shaving was done live on air on the Ray D'Arcy show.

Fair play, Mr Norris. But we reckon the beard is a good idea, overall.

The beard has gravitas. And he had it for 40 years.
