Woman saves autistic daughter’s pet after three hours of CPR

A woman in Sydney spent three hours performing CPR on her blind chicken.

Roberta Rapo was desperate to save ‘Chooky Wooky’ after the pet chicken fell into a swimming pool, so she set about pumping its chest up and down with her fingers.

Her actions put off her house guests, who thought she was "crazy" and left while she was trying to save the animal.

Fortunately, the therapy pet eventually clucked back to life much to the delight of Roberta's autistic 14-year-old daughter, Rayna.

Roberta said: "We had friends around at the time who thought we were crazy and left. But I couldn’t let her die and I took great pleasure in texting them when we brought her back to life."
