Tre Holloway has broken his silence on his split from Cheryl Cole by insisting she is "amazing".

The 28-year-old hunk - whose break up from the Girls Aloud singer following their 14-month relationship was confirmed this week - took to Twitter to thank his fans for their well wishes since the couple's split but hit back at claims he had been spotted 'twerking' in Australia with his brunette friend.

On Wednesday, Tre hinted he had no option but to split from the 'Fight For This Love' hitmaker before he "lost" himself.

Cheryl also took to her Twitter account earlier this week to thank her fans - who she calls 'Little Soldiers' - for their support in the wake of the pair's split.

She wrote: "Sometimes I just sit here by myself wondering why you're all so kind and nice and caring towards me. It's gets overwhelming. #soldiers
