You may have heard that the master of dark fantasy, Guillermo del Toro, wrote the opening couch gag for The Simpsons' latest Halloween episode.

It's pretty excellent, actually, and jam-packed full of references – but can you spot them all?

Here's the orginal if you haven't seen it yet and want to try and spot them yourself. The annotated version with all the answers lies below.
