Murphy’s Stout have announced that New York’s Guards, Cork troubadour John Spillane, Fred frontman Joe O’Leary and newcomers Elastic Sleep will join headliner MGMT and Irish legends The Stunning for the upcoming Little Big Weekend.
Also featured on the bill, taking place in Cork’s Savoy Theatre, are The Would Be’s, The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow, O Emperor and The Frank & Walters.
MGMT’s headline the Sunday night of the bill (October 20), playing alongside O Emperor and fellow New Yorkers Guards.
The Stunning are Friday night’s main draw, sharing the bill with The Would Be’s and Elastic Sleep, while Jerry Fish brings his Electric Sideshow to Cork after debuting it at the recent Electric Picnic festival.
John Spillane and Joe O’Leary join Cork indie favourites The Frank & Walters for this show.
Acting Brand Manager of Murphy’s Stout, Barry Cassidy, said: “MGMT follow a long line of great acts such as Florence and the Machine, The Human League, Peter Hook and Seasick Steve that we’ve managed to attract down to Cork for our events.
“Dublin gets more than its fair share of big bands so we’re delighted to again bring the big names to our Cork audience.
“The Little Big Weekends are a way of giving back to our loyal customers who’ve supported the Murphy’s brand over the years.
“We’re absolutely amazed by the ticket requests we’ve been getting and look forward to another fantastic weekend.”
