Some tunes wouldn't work on piano, right?
When you think of songs like 'Gangnam Style', 'N***** in Paris' by Jay Z and Kanye West, 'Don't you worry child' by Swedish House Mafia and 'Whistle' by Flo Rida you probably don't automatically think they would fit piano.

In fact you might not even think it's possible to play it on piano.
For Rachael O'Donovan, a third year music student in University College Cork, no genre seems off limits.
The 21-year-old creates piano versions of a variety of songs and her well-known 'mash-ups' mix them all together.

What is most fascinating is that all these songs are played by ear, and without the aid of any notes.
After a brief hearing of a tune on the radio or in public she is able to convert it to a piano version fit for all. As a result she constantly receives requests to play more unconventional songs.
"I get a lot of requests to play dance music and lately house music," she said.
"Even at the weddings I play for, people are requesting tunes they would see in films and adverts like "
It seems the UCC music student really does enjoy a challenge as she is currently working on this one:
This talented pianist has not forgotten about her more traditional and classical roots however.
"I still do enjoy classical music," she said.
"But I have to say when I play current tunes it seems to appeal to people, especially my peers, more so".
