350 attempt to twerk their way to world record
350 people have twerked their way into the record books in New York.
They danced simultaneously for two consecutive minutes to get into the Guinness Book of World Records.
The raunchy hip-hop dance was made famous by Miley Cyrus during her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Both young and old took part.
A 73-year-old woman who was involved said that she loves the dance move.
"It was a wonderful experience today" she said.
"I went to buy sheets in Macy's and they let me in and I'm just dancing my life away here".
"It was just great" she added.
WARNING: Be prepare to cringe at parts of this as twerkers lose momentum half way through and seem to just bounce up and down.
The 73-year-old lady is the only one that seems to be getting into the spirit of what twerking is all about.
