'Sabrina the Teenage Witch': I've taken ecstasy, magic mushrooms and marijuana

Melissa Joan Hart has revealed she used to take ecstasy, magic mushrooms and marijuana.

The 37-year-old actress - who shot to fame as the titular character in 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' in 1996 - had several drug-fuelled nights over an 18-month period and recalls one occasion when she took ecstasy at Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion in 1999 and kissed a girl during the limo ride home.

Speaking to Life & Style magazine about her new tell-all book 'Melissa Explains it All', the blonde beauty - who has three sons, Mason, seven, Brady, five, and 12-month-old Tucker with her husband Mark Wilkerson - said: "I experimented with weed, ecstasy, mushrooms and mescaline for about a year and a half."

The former child star insists her experimenting never led to addiction and she eventually realised she needed to find a new group of friends, but not before once turning up to a Maxim magazine photo shoot while still high on ecstasy.

She said: "That was my third or fourth time on ecstasy.

"I was kind of running with a bad crowd. I just didn't enjoy taking drugs. I don't like the loss of control."

Melissa - who also appeared in the lead role in teen sitcom 'Clarissa Explains it All' - also recalls several stars she kissed including Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter and 'Scary Movie 5' star Jerry O'Connell.

But she has no love lost for Ashton Kutcher and admits trying to get him booted out of her parties for making "smartass remarks".

She said: "Ashton and I just didn't get along."
