The two best pictures from yesterday's All-Ireland final

Two images stand out from Dublin's defeat of Mayo in yesterday's All-Ireland final.

The first, which has been gathering momentum on Twitter and Facebook, was taken by Dave Maher of Sportsfile and shows Dublin's Jonny Cooper consoling Mayo goalkeeper Rob Hennelly of Mayo after the final whistle.

The two lads were former teammates in their DCU days.

The second one that caught our eye again features Hennelly, Colm Boyle and Aidan O'Shea during the presentation of the Sam Maguire, as smoke from after-match fireworks and sunlight shafting through the roof of the Croker stands combine to add an ethereal atmosphere to scenes of post-match disappointment.

That one was taken by Brendan Moran, also a Sportsfile snapper.

Well done to both photographers (and of course to the Dubs!)
