A sad update on a sad story

Last week we brought you a story about five puppies abandoned in Cork - here is what has happened since.

Inside were five puppies (only a few days old) that had been taken off their mother and abandoned.

The Cork Dog Action Welfare Group who took the puppies in were concerned for both puppies and their mother.

They hoped that the puppies might survive the ordeal with fosters.

Unfortunately the Welfare Group posted some sad news today.

Three out of the five little puppies did not survive.

The two remaining puppies, Phonsie and Blade are thriving thanks to the foster parents

However the theWelfare Group are still worried about the mother of these dogs who they say is probably, "bewildered and distressed, unable to understand why she has been cruelly denied the most basic act of nature, to feed and care for her young".
