Business news agency Bloomberg attempts a one-line description of our national sport. It is quite something. And pretty accurate, to be fair.

Business news agency Bloomberg did a piece about Michael Noonan yesterday which featured a passing reference to the Finance Minister's former prowess at hurling.

For Bloomberg readers unfamiliar with our national sport, the writer helpfully added a short description.

Which pretty much nailed it, we think.

It reminds us of a couple of months ago, when UFC commentator Joe Rogan - a man very much accustomed to manly displays in the sporting arena - saw hurling for the first time.
