Star Trek fans really are a breed of their own and they will not be satisfied until every last one of us has bought into the concept.

As this video proves.

Using the UK's top illusionist these trekkies at Blinkboxlive created the world's first teleporter in a bid to recruit more Star Trek fans.

An unsuspecting crowd gathers around the transportation machine awaiting to see what all the hype is about.

After a picking out a member of audience "at random" the candidate is asked to sign a waiver incase Scotty beams them into outer space and they never come back.

The crowd watches as the person disappears.

People are then asked to look out for them around the shopping centre - where of course they turn up in some random place.

Although they turn up quite disorientated it's really not rocket science it's just a combination of good acting and identical twins.
